With Fond Memories
Robert LANE (1974-2004)
It was a tragic accident,
He did not mean it to happen
But something stronger caused him
To slip through our fingers;
He has taken leave and
Has begun a new journey,
Held in the arms of ancestors
Where his pain no longer lingers.
There he has found comfort and peace
And he wants us to know
So of our deep sorrow and grief,
We can safely let go:
Celebrate his spirit as he moves on
To a better and brighter thing
And as treasured, fond memories of him,
In our hearts, softly sing.
It was a tragic accident,
He did not mean it to happen
But something stronger caused him
To slip through our fingers;
He has taken leave and
Has begun a new journey,
Held in the arms of ancestors
Where his pain no longer lingers.
There he has found comfort and peace
And he wants us to know
So of our deep sorrow and grief,
We can safely let go:
Celebrate his spirit as he moves on
To a better and brighter thing
And as treasured, fond memories of him,
In our hearts, softly sing.
